What can a customer expect at Cues N Cushion?
We have birthday party packages in different sizes — so, for 10 guests, 20 guests, or 30 guests. Those packages include a reserved area with food, pool tables, and arcade games. We also do private and corporate events and parties where you can book the entire lounge. We’ve hosted 61 parties so far, including private events and birthday parties, so it's been a great success! South Delta has been giving us a lot of love.
In addition to that, we’re planning to do a community event day where any organization who has a great cause that needs to be promoted in our community can come in and get free 3-hour access to the entire lounge. They’ll be able to bring in anywhere from 30-50 guests and play pool or the other games for free and really have a proper stage for them to showcase their ideas. It’s our way of giving back to the community.
We also have day passes. You can pay a flat fee of $50 for two guests, or choose the $100 Family Day pass for four guests, and get access to unlimited fun throughout the day. There are a lot of things going on!

That’s exactly the vision former business development and customer service expert Husain Chappalwala first imagined three and a half years ago. And, after the birth of his son, he decided it was time to turn his dream into reality. Inspired to create something meaningful for both his own growing family and the South Delta community, Chappalwala poured his heart and soul into opening Cues N Cushion. Part café and part recreational lounge, Cues N Cushion is entirely about community. It’s a vibrant social hub where you can gather to play everything from pool and air hockey to electronic darts (where the dart board is known to roast you). You can also enjoy a specialty coffee or dig into an order of thick cut poutine. But more than just a place to play or grab a bite, Cues N Cushion is a space where you’ll find the connections are what truly matter.
Can you tell us a little bit about your background and what inspired you to open Cues N Cushion?
I have about 12 years of experience in business development within international companies, but over the past three and a half years or so, I found myself thinking about life and the stage I was in. I was about to get married, and I was thinking that I wanted something of my own, something that I could build that was missing in this town. Unfortunately there isn’t a lot for kids especially to do around here without it being expensive or even getting them into trouble. When my family and I were blessed with a baby boy, as soon as I saw him, I decided this was the time for me to put all my heart and soul into this idea. I wanted to create something where the community could come together and have fun, and where people could hang out and reconnect and get out of their homes. That was the inspiration behind Cues N Cushion.
What can a customer expect at Cues N Cushion?
First, I want to mention that anyone can come in and enjoy the café. There’s no service charge or entry fee at all. Just grab yourself a coffee, sit in front of one of the TV screens or work on your laptop. There’s a great ambience anyone can enjoy. Although it might not seem like a traditional space, we’re a full-fledged café and I think we serve the best coffee you’ll find in town!As soon as you walk in, you’ll find a very open space with several pool tables, air hockey, arcade basketball and a punching machine. There are over 333 board games and card games available to choose from and play for unlimited hours. We have massive screens showing live games in 4K. We have dart boards on the floor, and also an electronic dart board that’s an interactive and fun experience. It's not a regular dart board — it’s going to roast you! Most importantly, we have a café with specialty coffees, milkshakes, protein shakes, mocktails, non-alcoholic beer, and hot food. It’s an all-in-one experience.
What are some of the most popular games and menu items?
I would say the most popular games are pool and air hockey. Basketball is another big one. From the café, the specialty coffees are so great. In terms of food, I’d say the poutine. We are really proud of our poutines. The fries we use are straight cut traditional old thick fries, and they work really well in the poutine. We also have our own beef hot dogs that are favourites as well.

We provide the venue, entertainment, structure, and operational support, and the community members bring the supporters. Together, we create a unique, high-value fundraising event!

We chose to set up our business here because of its strong sense of community, family-oriented atmosphere, and the opportunity to create a welcoming space where people can gather, connect, and spend quality time together. South Delta has a unique balance of being peaceful and close-knit while still growing, which makes it an ideal place to build long-term relationships with local residents, families, and youth.
